A furniture project is an exciting venture - seeing a piece evolve from an idea and develop in the workshop. The central ethos of the Studio is based around pursuing excellence in workmanship, and that principle is applied to each and every handcrafted piece. The Studio works to exceptional standards, through the detail and care taken throughout the entire design & make process. Bespoke work also affords exclusivity - with products made to order, you can be assured that designs are cutting edge, with an attention to stylistic and structural detail that often goes far beyond what you will find in most mass produced furniture.
‘First edition’ work can at times be more involved than when reproducing items from the current portfolio. More time is spent in early stages refining the design in order to test proportion, shape or style - this development work can of course influence cost, depending on complexity. Whether you are approaching with a new concept in mind or ordering a repeat design, each item is individually handmade from start to finish. Subtleties of proportion and shape can greatly affect the outcome of any item produced, and designs can be tailored throughout the making process.
