FINISH OPTIONS
The finishing of any furniture item is an incredibly important part of the making process, and through sufficient time ensuring this is undertaken meticulously, a finish will serve to really elevate the final product. Most of my furniture is finished with a hardwax oil, through testing I have found this to be one of the best ways to preserve a natural feel and look to the timber; at the same time this finish also imparts a beautiful satin sheen that is incredibly strong and resistant to everyday wear and tear. Various tints are available to work with - frequently I blend colours specifically to ensure greater fine-tuning of the final tone’s available. Samples are usually made available to look through during the commissioning process.
